Never give up... Hope is contagious

Never give up... Hope is contagious.

So I'm stressing, checking the twitter feeds excessively and watching my mail like a hawk. Heh...
Yeah... I'm obsessing but it'll get better soon.

I know regardless of what happens I'm proud of myself and all those who entered. Entering was half the battle. One of the things to remember is that not everyone can win and just because we haven't gotten requests or agents banging down our doors doesn't mean our stories are crap.

Our stories are golden because they matter to us. They are like our children in many regards. We spend years caring for them, feeding them and shaping them. Everyone is golden. There's promise there and fulfillment.

Just be happy that your story choose you to be the one to tell it. It came into you and you made it what it is. You got their story out and gave life to something that before didn't exist and had never been conceived. I think that's a pretty stellar accomplishment. So congratulations all of you. Congratulations on telling your stories and sharing them. For caring so much about your children it hurts when they aren't rewarded as they deserve.

Remember, hope is contagious. Have faith in yourselves an your stories. Believe that one day someone will look at that story and scream "YES" that it's exactly what they need. Have faith in yourself and others will see your confidence and emulate it.
